What is Hyper Acidity?
This is an increased level of hydrochloric acid in the stomach which is the digestive juice that breaks down food into its smallest form. There will be a feeling of sour belching, nausea and restlessness, indigestion and loss of appetite and sometimes constipation.
Causative factors for hypothermia:
Consumption of excessively sour and spicy food.
- Excessive fasting and starvation.
- Irregular eating habits.
- Eating food of opposite qualities like milk with salty food etc.

How does hyper acidity happen?
Excess acid secretion will result in erosion of the lining of the stomach wall which protects the stomach muscles from exposure to these acids, but the erosion of the muscles causes the acid to come into contact and then cause irritation. This position is called amalpitta.
According to Ayurveda, Pitta dosh gets aggravated due to above causative factors and it is converted into sour property and then sour belching occurs.
