HEALTH CAMP

DAD Ayurveda (Health Camp Registration) is the largest section of the social sector. We work on a human rights approach to health which translates into a right to health for all. The Foundation empowers equal access to health care, including underlying determinants such as safe drinking water, proper sanitation an adequate supply of safe and nutritious food, and hygienic and environmental conditions.

The main objective of the DAD Foundation’s health interventions is to integrate comprehensive primary health care, and comprehensive access to public health services in remote areas of the country, with an emphasis on services that address women’s and children’s health. As an organization, we are committed to ensuring that the underprivileged lead healthy and productive lives.

DAD Ayurveda Medical Mobile Units – Primary Health Care

To improve health in a community, its population must often change physical and social aspects to eliminate factors contributing to health problems or introduce elements that promote better health. Teens outside Indian cities are particularly vulnerable as teen marriages and pregnancies are much more common in remote areas.

Thus, new mothers living in remote areas are more likely to die during childbirth. DAD supports grassroots NGOs to improve the quality and coverage of high-impact maternal health services. The Foundation addresses the needs of adolescent girls who are at high risk of complications during pregnancy and the postpartum period.

We are a lifeline for the working poor who are making sincere efforts to support themselves and their families but cannot afford medical care. Without our MMUs, many patients would delay or be delayed until experiencing a medical emergency.

These fully equipped medical units are staffed with an Ayurvedic doctor, pharmacist, nurse, community health worker, and driver to assess, treat and, where necessary, the immediate healthcare needs of the beneficiaries Referrals can be made. Gynecology services are provided on a consultation basis.

DAD Foundation currently operates more than 250 mobile medical units and reaches out to approximately one lakh patients annually. DAD Foundation, through its network of medical mobile units, reaches out to the most underdeveloped and inaccessible areas to provide primary health care, including diagnosis, referral, and awareness of health-related issues.

India’s 500 villages and slums. Medical services are aimed at improving the health status of infants, children, and mothers. They provide free consultations and medicines and visit villages with a certain frequency. The program focuses on early detection and prevention of all diseases related to pregnancy, labor, and the health of the newborn.

Early diagnosis has been helpful in preventing maternal health, injury, maternal mortality, fetal death, infant mortality, and morbidity. They also cover life-saving basic diagnostics that help in the early detection of serious diseases and referral to tertiary care.

AYURVEDA AND NATUROPATHY CLINICS – PRIMARY AND SAFETY HEALTH CARE

DAD Ayurveda supports Primary Health Centers The clinics provide the best health care in remote areas of Dhopteshwar, backward and underdeveloped areas of Maharashtra, and backward areas of Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand.

These Ayurveda clinics have adequate staff and clinical facilities and sometimes work on a hub-and-spoke model. These clinics reach out to more than 1,00,000 beneficiaries in a year and organize awareness camps with the help of volunteer workers to spread good health and hygiene practices.

DAD AYURVEDA HOSPITALS – TERTIARY CARE

DAD Foundation Hospital is located in the hill state of Uttarakhand. Hospitals provide compassionate, affordable quality health care for all. The foundation has also set up a 50-bed general hospital in Sama, Uttarakhand (supported by DAD), a hilly area where no such government facility is available.

This multipurpose hospital provides affordable healthcare services to the rural population which include Emergency/Trauma and Surgery, Orthopaedics, Pediatrics, ENT, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Dentistry, and Radiology. The hospital has benefited around 1,20,000 patients who have attended and treated, out of which 70 percent were consulted and 80 percent were remunerated free of cost.

There are very few government facilities available for cancer patients in India. Dad is funding Jaipur where terminal patients are treated for pain management and are taken care of at the terminal stage with a very dedicated team of doctors and hospital staff.

Palliative care for advanced cancer patients includes not only the identification and treatment of significant symptoms and side effects of the disease, but also support for psychological, social, and spiritual problems. It helps to relax the patient and family and ultimately prepares them for a peaceful death and bereavement.
