How is Alzheimer’s disease managed?
Alzheimer’s disease is progressive dementia characterized by loss of neurons and the presence of two main factors, namely extracellular amyloid plague and intravascular neurofibrillary tangles.
Alzheimer’s disease is a type of Vata disorder in which Vata becomes severely aggravated in the marrow Dhatu (the tissue layer that includes the central nervous system and all other issues that come with bone). This vitriform Vata dosha causes the brain to gradually dry out and deteriorate and at the same time, the patient will display characteristics of Alzheimer’s disease.
